The Rare Barrel's Hypnotized Coming April 14th

After announcing it would begin releasing cellared beers in its taproom, The Rare Barrel in Berkeley, CA announced the release of Hypnotized, the first beer in its Echo Series, and the first bottled beer in that series as well.

Echo Series beers employ the same yeast, fruit, bacteria and fermentation from barrel-to-barrel, which influences the next beer that uses that same barrel.

Hypnotized was the first beer in this series, releasing on draft in August 2014.

Bottle Release Thursday, April 14th | Hypnotized

Hypnotized is a red sour beer aged in unrinsed Ensorcelled barrels. The Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, and raspberries from Ensorcelled deepen the complexity of Hypnotized. This sour beer presents traces of juicy raspberries and lemon tarts. Hypnotized was first released on draft as our first Echo Series release in August of 2014. Created from the yeast, bacteria, and raspberries from Ensorcelled, we were curious to see how these flavors lived on to produce a new beer and thrilled with the results! We hope you enjoy Hypnotized, our first Echo Series beer released in bottles! 

Bottles will be available for purchase in the Tasting Room Thursday, April 14th at 4pm. Limits will be updated Tuesday, April 12th by Noon. For more details on Hypnotized and the Echo Series check out the link below.
