And his story is a great one: as a young bartender in New York, he was asked to find the perfect way to make a mix. So he made a drink with vodka, cranberry juice, and lime juice, and called it the Cosmo. He soon decided to add a little orange liqueur to the mix and then something else. But the rest is history. The Cosmopolitan is now the standard drink for ladies-night-out, and vodka is now the standard drink of choice for guys. One of our favorite twists on the Cosmo is with Champagne, but we prefer a splash of Prosecco.
