The Alchemist Releases Luscious Imperial Stout

The Alchemist Brewery in Stowe, Vermont, home of highly regarded hoppy brews such as Heady Topper and Focal Banger announced today it would release Luscious, a British Imperial Stout.

Clocking in at 9.2 percent ABV, this beer's recipe has been in use since 2011, when head brewer John Kimmich started working on it. In a video posted to the brewery's YouTube channel, Kimmich explains that Luscious and another beer were the only 2 that were able to be salvaged when the original Alchemist location flooded in 2011.

The beer will be available starting today at the brewery's Stowe location alongside year-round releases Heady Topper, Focal Banger and Crusher.
