BrewDog Making Moves On Both Sides of Atlantic

Shortly after formally announcing its Columbus, Ohio brewery, Scotland’s BrewDog is entering negotiations with Anchor Brewing Company to regain its U.S. distributing rights. Anchor Brewing has been the importer for BrewDog since 2010.

Last week, BrewDog formally released details on it plans to built its 100,000 square foot brewery – taking up an opportunity in the city of Columbus that first developed when the city wooed Stone Brewing Company.

According to brewbound.com, the relationship at Anchor began when former Skyy Vodka executive Keith Greggor became a co-owner of the iconic San Franciso brewery in 2010, establishing Anchor Brewing & Distilling. Prior to that, Greggor helped launch BrewDog USA and an import company to handle the Scottish brewer’s beers.

In East London, BrewDog has announced the opening of its latest bar and newest concept. Two-Bit will focus on American craft beer, whiskey and gaming. It’s located on the floor below BrewDog’s Shoreditch bar on Bethnal Green Road. Among the beer brands available on the July 4th launch were Oskar Blues, Ballast Point, Almanac, Firestone Walker and Stone. The bar is stocked with bourbon whiskey.

The games include Downtown USA Racing, Space Invaders and Tron along with pinball machines.
