Lagunitas is planning a brewery in Asuza, California. Lagunitas founder, Tony Magee, announced the plans last night via Twitter.
The 1,780,000 sq. ft. building will have an initial capacity of 420,000 barrels, with plans to increase capacity to 1 million barrels in the future.
The brewery, slated to open in early 2017, is 25 miles east of Los Angeles and will be "spittin distance from the Irwindale Miller Brewery," according to Magee.
Lagunitas, the sixth-largest craft brewery according to the Brewers Association, produced over 600,000 barrels in 2014 and with this new brewery those numbers will look to increase.
