Short's Brewing Co. Announces Return of Psychedelic Cat Grass IPA

Short's Brewing Co. in Elk Rapids, Michigan has announced the 4th annual release of the brewery's "Without Delay IPA," Psychedelic Cat Grass.

This triple dry-hopped IPA is "packaged, distributed, and often consumed within 24 hours in Michigan," per a release from Short's.

"This year, packaging of Psychedelic Cat Grass will begin at 12:01 am on Friday, May 17th," according to a release from the brewery, "with distribution to take place throughout the day in Michigan and the following week in Short’s expanded distribution footprint."

This year, packaging of Psychedelic Cat Grass will begin at 12:01 am on Friday, May 17th with distribution to take place throughout the day in Michigan and the following week in Short’s expanded distribution footprint.

This project brings the Short’s staff together as it is an ultimate teamwork exercise, and each year, that is my favorite part about this day. We also want to give a shout out of appreciation to all of our distribution partners, drivers, and pilots who help us make this project a reality each year.”

Psychedelic Cat Grass (7.6% ABV - 72 IBU) is a triple dry hopped American India Pale Ale first brewed for HopCat. Aromas of pineapple, mango, and grapefruit accompany the brew’s slightly hazy, pale orange color and lasting white head. A dry finish is preceded by balanced flavors of tropical fruit and bitter hops.

This year, Psychedelic Cat Grass will be released throughout Michigan within 24 hours, while select locations will receive it throughout the Great Lakes Region also on Friday, May 17th. For the absolute freshest Psychedelic Cat Grass, visit Short’s Pull Barn at their production facility in Elk Rapids for beer right off the line shortly after midnight. Full distribution of the beer in the Great Lakes Region and Florida will take place the following week.
