Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project in Denver, Coloardo has announced the release of a new limited-release Double IPA.

According to a release from Crooked Stave, "Trellis Buster is brewed with more hops than we have ever used in a single beer, this resinous, trellis-busting hop bomb is bursting with bold character. We've tailored the malt profile to deliver a ridiculously smooth and drinkable double IPA; dry-hopped with Azacca, Citra, Motueka, and Simcoe."

In honor of National IPA Day, the beer will release on August 2 in the Crooked Stave Tasting Room. The full release from the brewery is below.


Denver, Colo.– Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project will release Trellis Buster as its third limited rotator for 2018. Trellis Buster, an 8.0% ABV American Double IPA will be attainable in 6-pack cans and draught in most markets where Crooked Stave craft beer can be found.

Pipeworks Brewing Co. New Releases Available Now

Pipeworks Brewing Co. in Chicago, Illinois has announced that two new releases: Danger Fruit and Barrel Aged Abduction, are available now from the brewery.

Danger Fruit is a prickly pear pale ale with a gently floral, watermelon-like quality and brewed with Galaxy and Mosaic hops. The full release from the brewery on both beers is below.

Funky Buddha Brewery in Oakland Park, Florida has announced the release of the newest beer in its famed The Living Barrel Series.

Rum Barrel-Aged Tiramisu Debuts on July 31st

Introducing our newest addition to The Living Barrel Series: Rum Barrel-Aged Tiramisu! Inspired by the Italian dessert, we’ve stacked this imperial cream ale with fresh roasted coffee, sticky vanilla, and cocoa nibs. Notes of creamy custard, espresso, and shaved chocolate is followed by soft undertones of oak from months of rum barrel-aging. Bottles will be released exclusively in our tap room on July 31st. 22-ounce bottles will go on sale for $20 each with limits TBD.

Cascade Brewing Unveils Kriek 2017

Cascade Brewing in Portland, Oregon has announced the release of a new cherry sour ale called Kriek 2017 that clocks in at 7.7 percent ABV.

According a release from Cascade, Tim Larrance, Cascade VP of Sales and Marketing said: “This year’s project is highlighted by a deep rich color brought on by the roughly 1.3 million wonderfully decadent Bing and sour pie cherries we brought in last summer. Word around the cellar is that this is the best version of Kriek we've made to date!"

PORTLAND, Ore. (July 20, 2018) – Cascade Brewing is releasing its Kriek 2017 project today on draft and in a new 500ml bottle format. Cascade Kriek is a blend of sour red ales aged in oak wine barrels for up to 17 months with more than 16,000 lbs. of fresh Bing and sour pie cherries. The beer features complex flavors of cherries, roast malts, oak and spice, and comes in at 7.7 percent ABV.

Modern Times Leisuretown to Open in Anaheim, Joins 21 Active or In-Planning Breweries in the City

In a release from Shaheen Sadeghi’s LAB Holding (LAB stands for “Little American Business”), Modern Times Beer is partnering with the company to open Leisuretown -- a mixed-use brewery/entertainment complex with coffee roaster, vegan Mexican restaurant, gardens and a swimming pool.

The facility's opening serves as another effort in the ongoing revitalization of the Anaheim area. With 21 breweries operating or in-planning, Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait says, “What the wine industry did for Napa, craft breweries can do for Anaheim.”

More Anaheim breweries opened in the past two years than in any other city in Orange County, and Anaheim now has half of all the breweries in Orange County, California.
