Truck Chaser Creamsicle (2022) by Wild Leap Brew Co. is being evaluated as a Specialty Fruit Beer (Category 29C) per the 2021 BJCP Guidelines.

This beer pours a medium gold with a milky, opaque clarity. A thin, frail white head quickly dissipates, leaving a ring of small white bubbles around the rim of the glass. A moderate aroma of fleshy, juicy orange with a touch of orange pith is at the forefront. There is a low vanilla note with a perceivable sweetness reminiscent of powdered sugar. There are no hop or malt notes perceivable in the aroma.

The initial flavor is a medium-high lactose sweetness with a low vanilla flavor. It is quickly taken by a medium orange flavor and quickly followed by a medium hop bitterness. There is no hop or malt flavor noted in this beer as the orange and vanilla characters take the stage here. The finish is lingering sweetness, a touch of citrus, and a medium but slightly sharp bitterness that stays on the side of the tongue.

This beer has a medium body with a medium-low carbonation. There is a medium-low creaminess in the body along with a low alcohol warmth present.

Overall, this is an exceptional beer that hits the mark of what the brewery was shooting for in this beer. Though I would probably not have more than one at a time, this beer is evocative of drinking an orange creamsicle soda.
