Similar to the original King of Hop, but the grapefruit zest brings it to a higher level. The hops and grapefruit blend well together and enhance the underlying character. The grapefruit is stronger than the hops, yet the character could be mistaken for tropical flavor-leaning hops. The flavor is similar to the original KOH with the grapefruit brining out more of the hops — adding even more complexity. The grapefruit is definitely there, but it serves more of a complementary role instead of being the star of the show, and it actually enhances the beer in numerous ways. A well-made fruited IPA.
