A new sim game about managing a thriving monastery brewery, Ale Abbey: In Beer We Trust, is launching in February. A full press release from the indie game studio behind the release, Hammer & Ravens, can be found below:

As homebrewers ourselves, our love for beer and brewing has taken us in an unexpected direction, developing a game on brewing! Ale Abbey: In Beer we Trust, our monastery brewery tycoon, launches tomorrow on Steam Early Access, and we wanted to share the news with you.

While we know not everyone is both a brewer and a gamer, this might be a little novel for you, but we would really appreciate your help in spreading the word! Ale Abbey offers a fun, relaxing, and deeply satisfying take on brewing, drawing inspiration from real-world traditions. In fact, we were heavily inspired by the book Brew Like a Monk (among many others) in crafting our mechanics and atmosphere.

Ale Abbey puts you in charge of a monastery brewery in the late Middle Ages. It’s a tycoon game that lets you create your own ale recipes based on famous styles, brew with the help of your monks and nuns, and expand your influence across neighboring settlements, all while balancing the challenges of running a thriving abbey. It’s cozy, strategic, and full of love for beer and crafting it.
