Nine Pin Cider Welcomes Spring with the Release of Honey Hibiscus Cider

Spring is in the air––and in the cider! Nine Pin Ciderworks, New York’s first farm cidery, is celebrating the return of the pollinator season with a release of an innovative new spring seasonal, Honey Hibiscus Cider, a vibrant and botanical blend crafted with 100% New York apples, locally sourced honey, and hibiscus starfruit green tea.

Nine Pin’s newest seasonal cider will be available March 3 for Nine Pin’s exclusive 26ers and distributors, with a public release in the tasting room on March 4.

“Our Honey Hibiscus cider is our homage to the incredible work of local pollinators,” said Alejandro del Peral, co-founder and cider maker at Nine Pin Ciderworks. “The combination of floral hibiscus, bright starfruit, and that special touch of New York honey creates a refreshing, botanical cider that’s perfect for welcoming the spring.”

Honey Hibiscus is crafted with apples from Samascott Orchards in Kinderhook, NY, and infused with hibiscus starfruit green tea from Short and Stout Tea, resulting in a unique floral tartness. A touch of honey, acquired through Southern Adirondack Apiaries, rounds out the cider with subtle sweetness, a nod to the local bees that make it all possible.
