How to Make Cannabis Beer – The First Method

In this brewing process, you will first have to decarboxylate the cannabis. Decarboxylation is a process that removes the carboxyl and releases CO2 or carbon dioxide. It is essential to do this process for an infused drink that has high content of cannabinoid. Decarboxylation will extract CBD/THC cannabinoids. Just pre-heat the buds. Its volume will become half.

Now, select the bud. You may choose a strain with a fruity or having citrusy flavor. Strains, such as Strawberry Banana, Mimosa, Fruity Pebbles, and Sunset Sherbet all provide a wonderful aroma. You need 28 grams or one ounce of weed for each beer bottle. This is a good combination if you are doing it for the first time. This will give you 14 grams of decarboxylated marijuana.

  • Keep parchment paper with the ground buds on your cooking tray. If you use paper, it won’t let your buds get stuck into your tray.
  • Keep the tray in your oven between 107 and 118 C for 50 minutes.
  • The buds will get toasted evenly.
  • You will begin to get a fantastic smell.

Now, select the beer. Pale ales, India pale ale or IPA, imperial IPA are all good strains because they will complement the flavor of cannabis. Give it time so that your cooked marijuana can cool off. Once done, place the weed on a piece of cheesecloth gently. Wrap tightly. Now, keep your cloth in the beer.

Keep the bottle closed for 2 days. The bottle should be tightly sealed. Don’t remove before this because this can make your beer become stale. Shake the beer bottle with your dipped cannabis every 10-12 hours. Take out the marijuana after 48 hours. If you want, you can also refrigerate the beer for some time.

How to Make Cannabis Beer – The Second Method

In this cannabis beer recipe, you will need:

  • 2 teaspoons yeast
  • 4 lbs. of glucose
  • 2-3 teaspoons ginger
  • 4 oz. hops
  • 3-1/2 lbs. of malt extract

This will give you 35-40 pints of beer infused with marijuana flavor.

  • Take two saucepans
  • Place 5 water pints in both of them and boil them on a stove
  • In the meantime, wrap your hops in muslin loosely. Begin the fermenting process.
  • For this, you have to mix your yeast with 2-3 teaspoons ginger and 4 pints’ lukewarm water.
  • Keep your yeast aside.
  • Dissolve glucose in a pan. Put glucose in bag with the herbs, hops once it is dissolved.
  • Tip your malt extract into your second pan.
  • Simmer both pans for about 40 minutes.
  • Bring out your bag with the herbs, hops and run under cold water.
  • Now, pour contents into a bucket.
  • Also, squeeze your muslin bag into the same bucket.
  • Pour cold water. It should be around 80 degrees F.
  • Now, add your yeast.
  • Keep your bucket aside so it is warm for the fermentation.
  • You can also wrap using a quilt or blanket so it stays warm.

You are ready to bottle the beer when you see don’t see too many bubbles on the surface. Clean and also sterilize your bottles. Place two teaspoons of sugar in them. Fill the bottles with beer.  Leave it for a couple of weeks so that it can settle. Drink up after this.
