Liberty Ale Rides Again

Anchor Brewing Company's Liberty Ale, which helped usher in a new generation of flavorful beer, will celebrate its 40th birthday Saturday, April 18th. See the video and press release below:

Saturday, April 18th marks the 40th anniversary of Anchor Brewing¹s
LIBERTY ALE. First brewed to commemorate the bicentennial of Paul
Revere¹s historic ride, Liberty Ale was the first modern American IPA
to be brewed after prohibition and is credited as the beer that launched
the Craft Beer Revolution during a time when mass-produced lagers
saturated the market place.

Liberty Ale was first brewed in 1975 in San Francisco under legendary
Anchor Owner Fritz Maytag. The champagne-like bubbles and balanced
character of Liberty Ale make is a classic Anchor beer and a favorite
among craft beer enthusiasts.
