Brewed with 100% Brettanomyces and Australian Galaxy hops, this IPA showcases these two complementary components. Hop-forward, the aroma is inviting with prominent blackcurrant, passion fruit, and mango. An underlying Brett orange zest with a hint of cedar complements a slightly nutty supporting malt. The beer is golden with a fluffy, finely-beaded white head with Belgian lacing and a slight haziness. The body starts where the aroma left off with an abundance of complex hop character of resins, pine, passion fruit, and mango. The Brett adds complexity with orange esters and a light tartness. The hops continue to reign into the finish with mango, passion fruit, and peaches, but the prominent bitterness and lingering acidity leave the finish slightly sharp. An excellent melding of a distinctive hop with Brettanomyces yeast helps make this IPA stand out from most others.
