Strawberry Catahoula Common by Gnarly Barley Brewing Co. is an American Lager with strawberry, judged as BJCP Category 29A, Fruit Beer.
This beer has a subtle fruity aroma that is very pleasant and could be mistaken for a Belgian Blond Ale, or even a more aggressive Kölsch. It could easily be attributed to yeast character rather than a fruit addition. This beer is a deep golden color with a low, fizzy white head. It tastes lightly fruity and has an herbal hop flavor. Although it feels fluffy and is filling, it finishes pretty dry and crisp. If you’re looking for a hit of strawberry, this beer won’t satisfy.
