Süperlager by Wild Leap Brew Co. is being judged as a German Pils (category 5D) per the 2021 BJCP style guidelines.
This beer pours a light gold with slight hazy clarity. A thin white head of tight, white bubbles quickly dissipates but leaves a thin layer on top of the beer.
The flavor consists of a low malt sweetness with a very low bready note. Hop profile of this beer is a medium-low bitterness with medium spicy hop flavor and with low floral hop flavor notes. A slight touch of DMS is present in this beer as it is consumed. The beer finishes dry but with only a slightly lingering hop flavor, which dissipates fairly quickly leaving only the malt; this beer is definitely balanced to the malt.
This beer has a thin body with medium carbonation but with very prickly-feeling bubbles.
Overall, this is a decent pils-style lager though the malt shines through more than the hops, which is an anomaly for the style.
