Pub Beer Signs Max Warbington As First Team Snowboarder, Launches Cheap Fun. Content Machine

If you don’t know the name Max Warbington, get ready.

The thirsty young hammer-swinger out of Bend, OR—already your favorite snowboarder’s favorite snowboarder—was just knighted Pub Beer’s first team athlete. Now, he’s blowing open the gates for the newest team in snowboarding—The Cheap Fun. Team—and throwing up a Bat-Signal for a new generation of underfunded athletes to join.

In the realm of low-budget clip-baggers, Max is already a star. He’s featured in some of internet snowboarding’s finest productions, from Think Thank movies to his own Shorts and Shades, to cameos as a member of Lick The Cat. He’s also the ringleader behind core snowboarding events like Brain Bowl, and even moonlights as a DJ under the stage name, DJ Lavalamp.

But it’s Max’s street cred in the community, punctuated by an abundance of backyard edits on his Instagram, that caught Pub Beer’s eye. The renegade beer brand is opening up a new lane for riders to get sponsored, and they’ve tasked Max with building an army of the Cheap Fun. guard.

Look out for Mr. Warbington on-site at Natural Selection on March 10. He’ll be the guy rallying the crowd and dishing out off-color commentary via @cheapfunbeer. From there, he’s headed to Brighton Resort to serve on the judging panel for The Bomb Hole Cup. And, he’ll be on the lookout for new teammates.
