Bud Light Partners With University of Houston on Limited-Edition Cougar Pride Cans

Are you a University of Houston Cougars Fan? If yes, Bud Light has something exciting for you – limited-edition cans, created specifically to celebrate Cougars pride. The cans, which are available in stores all across Houston elegantly feature the university’s logo and colors.
A press release from The University of Houston Athletics and Bud Light announced that the cans began arriving at retail locations across the city the week of February 16, and will be available in a 24-pack, 12-ounce configuration at grocery retailers throughout the greater Houston area, while supplies last.
The limited-edition cans arrive just in time for fans to celebrate the heart of the spring sports calendar and cheer on Cougar Athletics.
It has taken a three-way partnership between the University of Houston Athletics, Silver Eagle Distributors Houston and Anheuser-Busch (the makers of Bud Light beer) to make the cans available to fans.
“Our continued partnership with Bud Light and Silver Eagle Houston to specifically collaborate for Houston-branded canning and packaging, further expands the University of Houston brand throughout the city and state,” Vice President for Athletics Eddie Nuñez said. “We are thrilled to be able to have our brand showcased by one of the biggest beverage companies in the world and strive to continue to try and find new ways to implement this type of collaboration across our corporate portfolio.”
“These amazing Bud Light and UH team cans are the culmination of years of discussions and effort between us, UH Athletics and the local Anheuser-Busch team, including their brewery here in Houston,” said Camilo Rojas III, Vice President of Marketing at Silver Eagle. “We are honored to support the University of Houston and Cougar Athletics and excited to offer fans a bold, visible way to celebrate their Coogs this spring.”
Fans 21 and older can find the limited-edition Bud Light UH team cans at grocery retailers throughout the Houston metropolitan area while supplies last.
