Having produced more than a decade of Las Vegas’ best craft beer festivals, Motley Brews is now handing things over to Brothers Molloy Events. The transition is designed to merge and build on the city’s hallmark beer events, while keeping strong connections with local brewers. Fans can look for bigger programming, new experiences and lots of the community spirit that festivals like the Great Vegas Festival of Beer is known for.

A press release from Brothers Molloy Events disclosed that as part of the transaction, Brothers Molloy Events will assume ownership and full production of the Great Vegas Festival of Beer, the state’s largest and most recognized craft beer festival. Additionally, the Downtown Brew Festival will be folded into Great Vegas  to create a single, expanded annual event.

The transition builds on an existing partnership, with Brothers Molloy Events having operated the festivals alongside Motley Brews for the past three years. The move ensures continuity for attendees, breweries, and partners, while positioning the festival for continued growth.

“This felt like the natural next step for the festival,” said Brian Chapin,  founder of Motley Brews. “We’ve spent years building Great Vegas into what it is today. It was incredible to watch it – and the craft brew scene – grow year after year, and Lucas and his team have already shown they can take it even further. Bringing everything together into one flagship event creates something bigger, more focused, and ultimately more impactful for the local  community.”

Brothers Molloy Events produces a portfolio of large-scale beer festivals across the country, including the Vermont Brewers Festival in Burlington, VT; the Beer & Cheese Fest in Madison, WI; and the New Hampshire Bacon & Beer Festival in Manchester, NH. The company is known for its emphasis on high-quality productions, strong brewery relationships, and community-driven programming.

“We’re incredibly proud to step into this role,” said Molloy, “Motley Brews built something that truly resonates with both breweries and attendees over the past decade plus. Our goal is to honor that foundation while continuing to grow the festival in a way that keeps that sense of community at its core.”

As part of the transition, Chapin will step away from festival operations to focus on Production Theory, a design and fabrication company specializing in trade show exhibits, retail environments and large-scale experiential builds for major brands, while supporting a smooth handoff.

Under Brothers Molloy Events, the newly unified Great Vegas Festival of Beer will serve as the company’s flagship Las Vegas event, with expanded programming and offerings, increased scale and continued support for breweries locally and nationally.
