This cider was evaluated as a New World Cider (BJCP 2015) which is now called C1A Common Cider in the 2025 BJCP guidelines. The cider pours a very clear light gold with no head or carbonation bubbles. The aroma is a mix of red and green table apples.
The flavor starts with a moderate table apple note with hints of more tart green and cider apples and no hint of rustic or Malo-Lactic Fermentation (as expected). The cider finishes with a semi-dry pleasant fruity character. The tannins are relatively low as expected for style. There is a moderate clean tart malic acidity that accentuates the apple flavor. Overall a very pleasant and refreshing beverage. Pair this with a slightly salty rack of pork spare ribs with roasted potato wedges.
