David Rabin is a writer, competitive marksman, and lifelong Midwesterner-turned-Southerner with a taste for bold stories and equally bold brews. Born and raised in Chicago, David grew up within earshot of Wrigley Field and spent his formative years immersed in comic books, classic TV Westerns, and the kind of storytelling where flawed heroes always found a way to win. After earning a degree in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois and a law degree from the University of Michigan, he traded northern winters for Southern sun and settled in Atlanta to practice law.
A chance introduction to shooting sports from a law partner ignited a passion that quickly turned into a competitive pursuit. David now spends much of his time aiming for precision in Highpower Rifle, Smallbore, and Benchrest competitions—when he’s not focused on storytelling. After retiring from a busy legal career, he finally brought to life a novel that had occupied his thoughts for two decades: In Danger of Judgment, a gripping debut inspired by his love of action, history, and justice.
When he’s not writing or fine-tuning a trigger pull, David enjoys reloading ammunition, running shooting programs at his local club, and seeking out great craft beers to toast a day well spent. He lives in the Atlanta area with his wife, where they’ve raised two sons and built a life around precision, purpose, and a deep appreciation for detail—both in stories and in pints.
