Lisa Morrison is a pioneering voice in craft beer and the majority owner of Portland’s acclaimed beer bar and bottle shop, Belmont Station. With a background in technical journalism and a former career as a television news anchor, Morrison transitioned her passion for beer into a full-fledged vocation. After discovering craft beer during her college years at Colorado State University, she deepened her involvement by homebrewing, joining the Oregon Brew Crew, and eventually writing for local and national beer publications.
Affectionately known as the “Beer Goddess,” Morrison became one of the earliest media figures to spotlight craft beer, hosting a long-running radio show and teaching beer education classes geared toward women, including Sud Sisters and Barley’s Angels. A tireless promoter of Portland’s brewing scene, she helped launch iconic events like Portland Beer Week, Oregon Craft Beer Month, and Fred Fest. Through her writing, mentorship, and leadership at Belmont Station, Morrison has played a key role in shaping Portland’s global reputation as a craft beer capital and continues to advocate for inclusivity and education within the industry.
