Michael Heniff is a Grand Master III BJCP judge, award-winning homebrewer, and seasoned beer writer with decades of experience in brewing and beer evaluation. Since he began homebrewing in 1997, Mike has brewed over 225 batches of beer, mead, and cider, earning more than 200 competition medals—including three Best of Show wins and four prestigious Mike Templeton awards. He was named both Gulf Coast Homebrewer of the Year and Lone Star Circuit Homebrewer of the Year, and his recipes have been brewed commercially 12 times.
Certified as a BJCP judge in 2000, Mike brings deep technical knowledge and judging expertise to every beer he reviews.
