Seth Levy (he/him) is a Portland, Maine-based writer with a focus on craft beer, spirits, local food, and outdoor gear. His passion for craft beer began with a 6th grade-science project exploring fermentation. The results of the experiment mysteriously disappeared with the science fair judges and a good grade was forthcoming. His brewing and tasting skills have sharpened in the years since, but his enthusiasm for trying new flavors and his sheer amazement of the wonder of fermentation have remained constant.
Raised in Brunswick, Maine, he brings a deep appreciation for the region’s natural beauty and culinary culture to his work. His writing reflects a lifelong passion for the outdoors and the flavors that define coastal New England. In addition to his editorial work, Seth is a dedicated conservation advocate with years of experience in nonprofit leadership, partnership development, and environmental policy. When he’s not writing or volunteering, you’ll find him hiking, cycling, or sampling the latest local brews with his partner Meghan.
