A Certified Beer Judge (BJCP) and active member of the Brewers Association and American Homebrewers Association, Shawn brings deep industry knowledge and a passion for storytelling to every pint and project. His experience across the beer value chain gives him a 360-degree view of the craft beer landscape—making him a trusted voice and advocate within the community.

In addition to his beer credentials, Shawn is an expert communicator and content strategist with more than 20 years of experience in branding, promotions, and multi-platform marketing. He has a proven track record of creating impactful campaigns that connect with both niche and mainstream audiences, and his copywriting and editorial work consistently delivers clarity, creativity, and results.

While his roots are in craft beer, Shawn also serves as the Marketing & Communications Coordinator for Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH), the largest healthcare provider in the region.
