Wicked Pawesome by Metazoa Brewing Co. was jduged under category 21B Specialty IPA (New England IPA) per the 2015 BJCP Style Guidelines.

Perceived aroma was intensely fruity with tropical and citrus notes leading the way. A wisp of bread-like malt was discerned although only remotely so.

An amber-tinted ale was presented before me, which was opaque in appearance and topped off with a large white head that fell off quickly.

As per style parameters, flavor was dominated by a New World hop character that featured a robust Citrus and juicy tropical piquancy evidencing a heavy dose of dry hopping. Malt although evident is here only in a supporting role.

Medium-bodied, with a smooth mouthfeel and no alcoholic heat. Alcohol that was present was on the low end of the style guidelines.

Overall, this was a good representation of the New England IPA style. Quite drinkable with no obvious flaws.
