This beer was judged as a Saison via BJCP 2015 Category 25B. Initially pouring as a beautiful pale golden color with sparkling clarity and leaving a picturesque white lacing around the glass, the visuals alone for this beer made me want to take a sip. The aroma was very pleasant — offering Belgian phenolics and citrus and pear esters along with a very faint spicy, floral hop character. It had a very smooth mouthfeel and a slightly dry finish. All of this was tied together nicely with very pleasant soft alcohol element.
This beer would pair well with Salmon or Ribeye cooked on the grill but would also go wonderfully with spicy asian dishes. A very pleasant and easy-drinking beer that just screams to be imbibed with a group of close friends, regaling each other with stories of days gone by.
