Description
The beer features our favorite experimental hops to date in a soft, smooth Double NEIPA. We used YCH Cryo Pop and one of their newest experimental Cryo Hop Blends: Trial Blend Mango. Zero fruit, just notes of mango from the hops.

Birthday Month Mango Cryo Hop IIPA by Wild Leap Brew Co. was reviewed under the Beer Judge Certification Program via Category 22A Double IPA.
Vigorously aromatic, exhibiting citrus notes (mostly grapefruit) that blend with stone and passion fruits aided by a light flowery savor.
This beer poured a pale yellow hue with a medium white head that persisted. A hazy, turbid appearance exemplifies style parameters.
The flavor has all the characteristics of heavy-handed dry hopping. As in the bouquet, citrus fruits are manifest along with stone fruits (mango dominates). Hops are presented in a non-assertive fashion lending flavor rather than bitterness. Malt takes a secondary position here and lends only a supporting role to hop complexity. The body is thin with a non-aggressive hop finish as is typical for style. Alcohol, which is evident here, is well hidden and not offensive.
Although the above beer was blind-tasted as a double IPA it is has all the obvious characteristics of a New England-style IPA and, as such, represented the style in every way.
