This beer was judged as BJCP 2015 Category 19A – American Amber Ale.
This beer poured a wonderful copper/amber color with a huge off-white head and clear body. It had a pleasant citrus hop and grainy malt aroma that blended well with low, soft alcohol notes. The flavor followed the aroma and the finish was resplendent with a lingering bitterness. There were pleasant light pear and cherry esters throughout.
This is the perfect beer to drink with holiday meals such as turkey or ham with all the fixings. It would also pair well with a hamburger and fries, or for a special occasion… like the Super Bowl!
