Orange Blossom Belgian Blonde by Moody Tongue Brewing Co. is a Belgian Blond Ale and is being evaluated as a Belgian Blond Ale (category 25A from the 2021 BJCP Beer Style Guidelines). Belgian Blond Ales are average strength Belgian ales that have a golden color and typical Belgian yeast characters such as fruity esters and peppery phenolics.

Orange Blossom Belgian Blonde pours dark golden in color, is clear, and sports a big, fluffy, white head. The aroma is a delicate balance of light citrusy esters over a moderately light honey-like malt flavor. The flavor is similar with lightly sweet honey-like malt with a bready note; the light citrusy esters complement the malt flavors while moderately light peppery phenolics contrast. The beer finishes moderately bitter with moderate bready malt and peppery phenolics lingering into the finish.

Orange Blossom Belgian Blonde is an excellent Belgian Blond Ale. The Belgian yeast-derived esters and phenolics are well balanced. The lightly sweet, honey-like malt flavor is not out-of-place as a little sweetness is expected for this style.
