Root Shoot Malting has set a new benchmark for sustainable brewing by becoming Colorado’s first malthouse to achieve Certified Regenified™ status. The recognition highlights the company’s commitment to regenerative farming, soil health, and full supply-chain transparency. With rigorous standards covering over 65 ecological indicators, Root Shoot is showing how craft malting can blend quality, sustainability, and accountability.

A press release from Root Shoot Malting revealed that the certification process was rigorous, with Regenified measuring and documenting over 65 indicators including water infiltration,ground cover, plant canopy and diversity, soil biologic activity, compaction layers, root heath, fauna populations, and even livestock body condition.

As the first regenerative certifier approved by the USDA’s AMS Process Verified Program, Regenified recognizes farms and producers like Root Shoot who are setting the standard for  regenerative agriculture.
