Allagash Brewing Names Matt Place as New Sales Director

Allagash Brewing Company has hired Matt Place as its new Sales Director as the Maine brewery looks to grow its business. Place brings 15 years of experience in the beverage industry – including several years in sales leadership at Athletic Brewing Company. He will lead Allagash’s sales team and help strengthen its relationships with distributors and retailers across the country.
A press release from Allagash Brewing explained that Matt Place will be reporting to the brewery’s founder and President Rob Tod while overseeing a 30+ person sales team and serving on the company’s Executive team.
Matt comes to Allagash from top N/A craft brand Athletic Brewing Company, where he most recently served as Vice President of Sales, East, overseeing a 17-state region and 80+ distributors. He joined Athletic in 2019 and was promoted several times over the past seven years during a period of significant growth. Raised in Maine, Matt attended Bates College and spent nine years with National Distributors, a Portland, Maine-based beer, wine, and N/A beverage distributor.
