BC: Who came up with this beer’s recipe?
Our brewers and lab crew work as a team to create each Boulevard beer’s recipe. While one person might have the idea for a beer, everyone works together fairly democratically to conceptualize and create the final beer. For that reason, we always talk about it as “our beer” versus “his/her beer” or “their beer.” It’s very cool.

BC: What’s your favorite aspect of this beer (flavor, aroma, etc.)?
My favorite aspect of Frequent Flier is that it delivers big, fruity hop flavor and aroma without being overly bitter. I’m at a point in my personal beer journey where I don’t necessarily enjoy beers that present as overly bitter so I definitely appreciate late and dry-hopped beers that deliver tons of aromatic hop oils without tasting grassy/green.

BC: Where does this beer’s name come from?
Frequent Flier plays to the sessionability of the beer as well as the hilarious naming/design scheme our creative team has come up with in regards to newer Boulevard IPAs: flightless animals flying with assistance. The label has a penguin with a rocket strapped to its back. Amazing!

BC: Is this your “desert island beer?” 
Wow, it’s tough to pick just one Boulevard beer as the perfect desert island beer, but Frequent Flier would certainly be up there, likely in my top three. There’s a ton of hop flavor and aroma in an incredibly drinkable beer so it would be a nice choice on a presumably hot/humid island as it’s thirst quenching, but also very interesting.

BC: What's a good food pairing for this beer?
Fried fish tacos are awesome with Frequent Flier. The fruity hops are great with spicy salsa and tangy cabbage slaw, while the slightly sweet caramel malts match up with the crisp breading.
