First Annual Cape Fear Craft Beer Week

Cape Fear Craft Beer Week begins a tradition of celebrating the Cape Fear Region’s thriving craft beer culture through a ten-day celebration that attracts beer tourism, draws awareness to our region, and serves as a showcase for the Cape Fear’s breweries, bottle shops, restaurants, and craft-centric businesses.  The Cape Fear Craft Beer Alliance (CFCBA) announced its first annual Cape Fear Craft Beer Week, running March 24-April 2. The week features events showcasing not only beer brewed in the Cape Fear Region, but invites participants to explore venues where craft beer marries comfortable environments, friendly conversation, and craft cuisine in and around Wilmington, NC.
 
The bookends of the week are the Ultimate Brewing Championship (UBC) and Cape Fear Craft & Cuisine.
 
Kicking off the week, the Ultimate Brewing Championship will be hosted on March 24th. The friendly competition invites Cape Fear craft brewers to showcase their creativity by utilizing unusual North Carolina-specific ingredients to create a custom beer in the style of their choosing.  Location and ticket information will be on the Cape Fear Craft Beer Week website soon. http://capefearcraftbeerweek.com
 
Cape Fear Craft & Cuisine will offer the Cape Fear region’s premiere food and beer pairing event. Chefs’ finest cuisine will be paired with both local and North Carolina craft beer for an elegant evening at Airlie Gardens on Saturday, April 1st at 6:00pm.
 
Throughout the week beer lovers in the region can experience a variety of events exploring breweries locally and beyond.
