Motorworks Brewing Head Brewer Bob Haa Talks Low Light

We spoke with Motorworks Brewing Head Brewer Bob Haa about Low Light.

BC: Who came up with this beer’s recipe?
This is a Motorworks original recipe by me.

BC: What’s your favorite aspect of this beer (flavor, aroma, etc.)?
I think the balance is perfect between the citrus flavor and the light body of the beer.

BC: Where does this beer’s name come from?
The name reflects the low-carb, low-calorie light beer character.

BC: Is this your “desert island beer?”
Light beer is not my typical preferred style, but this is definitely great on a hot summer day.

BC: Can you describe this beer in 10 words or less?
The lime is followed by a refreshing lemon finish.

BC: Do you know a story – or have a personal story – that revolves around this beer?
We felt that a beer like this would sell well in the Florida summer, but I was surprised at how well the recipe worked.

BC: What's a good food pairing for this beer?
This could be paired with spicy dry rub chicken wings to help with the heat or hamburgers to cut through the fat.
