We spoke with Uinta Brewing Brewmaster Tanael Escartin about Detour.

BC: Where does this beer’s name come from?
One of the original Crooked Line release beers, this beer’s name was chosen to fit within the “off the beaten path” brewing and branding concept, embracing the positive side of life’s ‘Detours.’

BC: Who came up with this beer’s recipe?
All our beer recipes are the result of an extensive R&D process, where the original idea is pilot-tested and tweaked as many times as needed based on the feedback received. The R&D department also works continuously on improving the quality of the Uinta beers with the main goal of delivering the flavor profile that satisfies the expectations of our customers. The success of Trader, Dubhe and Detour has been led by Uinta's brewmasters.
