Beer Dabbler Marks the End of an Era With 2027 Farewell Tour
After nearly two decades of bringing beer lovers together, The Beer Dabbler is preparing to close a chapter in Minnesota’s craft beer scene. Its 2027 farewell tour will give festivalgoers one final chance to enjoy the Winter Beer Dabbler and Pride Dabbler, two events that have become local favorites. The announcement also marks a new direction for the company as its founder shifts focus to other event support ventures.
The last Winter Beer Dabbler will take place February 20 2027, followed by the final Pride Dabbler the last Friday in June 2027, according to a press release from the organizers.
It’s been a heck of a ride. These festivals started out as a way for consumers to taste the abundant flavors and beer styles of craft beer, at a time before the Taproom bill passed and there were only a dozen breweries in MN. The final round of festivals will be an opportunity for all to come together, raise a glass, and celebrate the memories made along the way.
This week is the kickoff to the Farewell Tour events, starting with the annual ticket presale event at Stout’s Pub near the state fairgrounds, the site of the Winter Dabbler.

One Last Round. Two Final Festivals
A Whole Lot of Memories
From the year of the polar vortex to the real life snow globe ambience to shorts weather, the Winter Beer Dabbler is undefeated against Old Man Winter.
Dabblers have been about discovering new breweries, supporting Minnesota’s craft beer community, celebrating individuality, and creating connections that last long after the last pour.
From the Founder/Owner/Operator
“We have had a good run. The Beer Dabbler, The Growler Magazine, Dabbler & Friends 501 (c) 3, and The Dabbler Depot have been my life, alongside amazing employees, volunteers, family, and friends, for nearly twenty years. We started the festivals before the craft beer boom, grew to be the largest winter beer festival, survived the pandemic and its aftermath, and fought through metro surge this past year.
The events still have plenty of interest and guests, certainly enough to keep things rolling. The Pride Dabbler has sold out the last three years, so why stop? The thing that I have learned is that nothing lasts forever. It’s the right time for me to shift gears. I love producing events, I love working hard on all of the logistics. I own a sidekick business called Metro Cold Stor. This winter I will be rebranding it with a new name, expanding its offerings, and focusing on this one business that supports other businesses. My team of hard working individuals has worked on the Twin Cities Marathon, Taste of Minnesota, Irish Fest, India Fest, Red Bull Flugtag, and dozens of other fantastic events this year as part of their crew.
This next year you will see us add additional services to our event support services. We already do refrigerated draft beer trailers, golf carts, pedestrian barricades, generators, garbage and recycling, production, and labor for other large-scale events. We will be adding more to our inventory and will always be working behind the scenes. We are not retiring from events altogether, just conclusion hour own events for bandwidth.”
The 2027 festivals will be the final opportunity to experience these signature Beer Dabbler events. Whether you’ve been along for the ride since the beginning or have only recently joined the party, we’d love to see you there.
Save the date, mark your calendars, rally your friends, and get ready to celebrate.
