A blend of freshly ground peppercorns is discovered up front as well as some clove, ginger, cardamom and coriander. There’s also a hint of heat from the spice and a bit of banana with a mild crackery grain note well beneath the spice/yeast character. The finish could be a bit drier, which would allow the flavors to come across more strongly. All in all this is a nice saison and the peppercorns are a great choice to enhance its character.
