Mango Tree Shaker by Odell Brewing Co. was reviewed as a 29A Fruit Beer, per the BJCP 2015 Style Guidelines.

The pour starts a deep gold with a faint hop and protein haze with a sticky white head that persists. On the nose, the aroma is fairly complex, though hop-forward. The mango is a bit hidden due to the use of such strong tropically tinged hops. A slight sting of clean ethanol also pops through. As a DIPA, this shows pretty well, though on the nose the fruit is definitely in the background. On the tasting, again, the mango gets sort of washed out by the alcohol and bitterness, as well as the hops. Still, this is clean and fresh overall and quite well balanced. A pleasant malt backbone supports the beer. To be honest, if you didn't tell me there was mango here, I'm not sure I'd pull it out. I do get some bits and pieces in the finish, but I have to try hard to find it. Independent of that, and regardless of style, this is a pretty tasty beer. I'd just like to see a more prominent fruit profile to really nail it as a mango beer.
