Hazy Like a Fox by New Realm Brewing is a New England IPA, judged as BJCP Category 21B Specialty IPA.
Grapefruit, lemon, pine and resin make up this beer’s potent aroma and are classic badges of the IPA style set. It pours a turbid yellow color with dense, white head. Its flavors are bright and resemble grapefruit and orange, with a dose of hop resin. Bitterness is moderately high. The mouthfeel is soft yet crisp, with moderately-high carbonation. All of this should sound familiar, because this beer breaks no new ground. It’s missing the juiciness and hallmark late hop character of the best NEIPAs. Still, it is well brewed and fits the bill.
