Monday Night Brewing Hosts Atlanta’s First Gluten Free Festival

Monday Night Brewing Hosts Atlanta’s First Gluten Free Festival

Monday Night Brewing (MNB) is raising a glass to Atlanta’s gluten free community this month with the inaugural Gluten Free Atlanta Fest on Sunday, Sept. 28 at The Grove, the brewery’s new West Midtown taproom and outdoor space. The day-long celebration of gluten free beer, bites, and fun also marks the launch of The Grove’s expanded gluten free menu, which will now be available every weekend (Sat-Sun).

Admission to the Gluten Free Atlanta Fest is free. Food, beverages, and gluten free products from all over Metro Atlanta will be available for purchase. Tickets are now available on EventBrite. Free parking and bus shuttles will be available at 1575 Northside Drive (Atlanta Technology Center).

“This festival is personal for us. Gluten intolerance touches both my own family and our brewing family, so creating a safe, inclusive space wasn’t just a choice, it was a necessity,” says Monday Night Brewing Co-Founder Joel Iverson. “We’re proud to expand our gluten free offerings from once-a-month to every weekend. This festival is our way of toasting the incredible gluten free community that’s supported us, and we can’t think of a better way to launch this growing part of The Grove experience.”

The festival marks a major moment for the gluten free community, following the highly-anticipated opening of Monday Night Brewing’s The Grove in August. Hosted in collaboration with Gluten Free Atlanta (Facebook group), the Gluten Free Atlanta Fest will feature Monday Night’s gluten free menu, which includes GF beer, pizza (including a vegan cheese option), wings, dips, and more. This will be offered alongside a dedicated gluten free food lineup from local vendors, restaurants, bakeries and shops (see vendor list below). In addition, the event will feature independent gluten free businesses, guest speakers, CHE demos, and live music.

The Grove is nestled steps away from its former taproom location and directly on a new section of the Atlanta Beltline Northwest Trail. It’s built for connection and features the new taproom, an outdoor space with fire pits and a massive outdoor television, a private event space, and a rotating calendar of live music, food, specialty beer, and community-centered events.

“Partnering with Monday Night Brewing for the first Gluten Free Atlanta Fest feels like a dream come true,” said Gluten Free Atlanta (Facebook Group) Founder Stephanie Pardue. “For years, our community has searched for more places where we can gather, eat, and drink without worry — now we have a Monday Night Brewing stepping up in a big way. This festival is about freedom, fun, and the chance to safely and fully enjoy food and beer. We expect this event to be the first of many collaborations together.”

The Gluten Free Atlanta Facebook group was founded 15 years ago by Pardue out of what she refers to as “necessity and desperation.” The group, now with close to 6k members, has become a go-to for the gluten free community in Atlanta.

Iverson added: “We can’t wait to welcome everyone to The Grove for this new chapter, and we are delighted to bring the Gluten Free Atlanta Fest to life in collaboration with Stephanie and the community she has helped build in our city.”
