Light Cider is a session drink for those times when your thirst parches and scratches at your throat and demands something crisp, light and clean. Cracking the can releases mild, ripe apple aromas and a clean fermentation character. The cider pours bright, spritzy, pale yellow with masses of bubbles racing to the surface, gradually clearing to brilliant. A refreshing sparkle tickles the tongue with a light kiss of apple sweetness that dries out towards the finish leaving a long clean, lightly tart taste. The balance is outrageously good. You do not expect this much flavor in a drink labeled “light.” The exquisite balance of apple tannins, tartness and just enough sweetness coupled with a dash of well-developed flavors puts this cider above the tasteless alco-pops and seltzers currently crowding their way into retail beer coolers.
