Nine Pin Ciderworks, New York’s first farm cidery, is bringing the cozy flavors of autumn to cider fans. On August 5, Nine Pin will re-release its ever popular Apple Pie-Secco.  And, for the first time ever, the company will release a limited batch of its newest harvest-based cider, Pumpkin.

Nine Pin’s Apple Pie-Secco, its longest-running seasonal cider, and featuring a new label this year, is crafted with 100% New York apples from Samascott Orchards in Kinderhook, N.Y. Aged with vanilla and cinnamon, this cider captures the essence of fall in every sip. The blend of apples used creates a bold, crisp, and comfortingly spiced cider.

Perfect on its own or paired with food, Apple Pie-Secco shines alongside savory bites—especially cheese. Nine Pin’s Tasting Room is known for its curated menu of New York cheeses. The warm spices and bright apple notes of the cider create a balanced and elevated flavor pairing with the creamy textures of various cheeses crafted by Capital Region farms.

Also making its fall debut–and after significant public demand–is Nine Pin’s new Pumpkin Cider, co-fermented with sugar pumpkins, also from Samascott Orchards, and 100% New York apples. The result is a smooth, earthy cider with a whisper of pumpkin pie spice, offering a deliciously different take on one of the fall’s signature flavors. Pumpkin is a limited small batch offering. It has already been pre-sold to regional independent beverage and liquor stores and is also available in Nine Pin’s Tasting Room.

“Apple Pie-Secco has been a consistent fan favorite and we’re also excited that our Pumpkin has pre-sold,” said Alejandro del Peral, co-founder and cidermaker at Nine Pin. “These ciders represent everything we love about autumn in New York. One sip transports you into the middle of one of New York’s abundant orchards and farms. The perfect excuse to gather with family and friends to celebrate New York’s bountiful harvest.”

Both ciders will be available in cans and on tap starting August 5 at Nine Pin’s Tasting Room at 929 Broadway in Albany, and through select independent retail partners across New York State.

Cider connoisseurs can enjoy Nine Pin’s ciders seven days a week in their Tasting Room located in Albany’s eclectic Warehouse District, from retailers across New York, Massachusetts, and New Jersey and at bars and restaurants who carry Nine Pin products. Nine Pin’s online store now serves residents in New York due to new legislation that became effective in the Empire State in November 2024.
