A slightly hazy straw gold beer fills the glass in front of me and it supports a small, thin layer of tight-bubbled white head with medium retention that leaves a patchy lace behind. The initial aroma is moderate lactic sourness with soft blood orange and sea salt. My initial sip yields a pleasantly tart beer with blood orange underneath and supported by light sea salt and a medium-light doughy malt. The body is fairly light and crisp.
Faint floral coriander lives underneath the prominent nose, and there are no other noted aromas. The flavor is balanced with a doughy malt supporting the lactic sourness and blood orange acidity. A dry finish and clean fermentation allow for a lingering acidity and tartness that is bright and fresh. Carbonation is medium-low, and there is no alcohol warmth, creaminess or astringency. In all, this is a fine gose; the fruit addition mixes nicely without covering up the base style.
