What’s your favorite aspect of this beer (flavor, aroma, etc.)?
It’s so fun to put a twist on such a storied style. We knew we were taking a risk with this blend, and I’m delighted with how the maple character lifts the sweet heat of the barleywine.
Where does this beer’s name come from?
Trying to find a name within style and process.
Is this your “desert island beer?”
No, but were one actually deserted, I like to think this beer would be of great comfort.

Cozy, sweet, smoky, snowed-in cabin for the senses.
Do you know a story – or have a personal story – that revolves around this beer?
We launched a beer club in 2019, and this was one of the very first club-exclusive beers that we came up with, a blend of our maple barrel aged smoked porter and our English-style barleywine. While we were excited about it, we’ve been delighted and surprised by the enthusiasm that this beer inspired.
What's a good food pairing for this beer?
