The full release from Holy City regarding the new location is below.

CHARLESTON, SC (July 26th, 2018)

Holy City Brewing has partnered with EVO Pizzeria to open a new downtown location at 94 Stuart Street. The space will feature a commercial bakery in the front, much like EVO’s Park Circle location. There will be a pizzeria in the middle, boasting twenty taps, a full liquor bar, and EVO Pizzeria’s menu with exclusive bar snacks. The back area will be used to brew Holy City beers, focusing on Belgian, French and Wild ales, on a five-barrel system. This new location will work independently of HCB’s Dorchester Road taproom and Spruill Avenue production facility, as well as the EVO fixtures in Park Circle, and is slated to open in early 2019.

The bakery will sell coffee, desserts, pastries, bread and paninis, and it will function as a retail store to acquire both EVO and HCB swag. The pizzeria will not only have indoor seating, but a spacious outdoor patio with a stage to host live music events. The brewery in the back will also have its own flagship line of beers that will be exclusively sold at this new satellite location. This small-batch brewery will not only focus on the aforementioned styles, but will also concentrate on crazy, experimental brews that Holy City has come to be known for. There is ample on-site parking as well, which is a sight for sore eyes in downtown Charleston.

A reveal party is scheduled for Monday, September 10th, at EVO Pizzeria in Park Circle. Holy City Brewing will do a complete tap takeover for all of EVO’s Park Circle fixtures, and will occur during Charleston Beer Week. Two of the flagship brews for the new location will be available for consumption at the shindig, and swag giveaways will occur to promote the new location. Downtown will soon have a spot for EVO’s delicious, local fare and Holy City Brewing’s craft beers, all in one nice, neat package. ABOUT HOLY CITY BREWING AND EVO

EVO started out as a pizza truck in 2005, but owners Ricky Hacker and Matt McIntosh didn’t stop there, opening a brick-and-mortar shop and a commercial bakery since then in the bustling area of Park Circle. Brewer Chris Brown worked for them while he was getting his brewery off the ground. In 2011, Holy City Brewing was born. EVO is known for their locally-sourced, fresh pizza and their delicious baked goods. Holy City Brewing made a name for themselves by brewing both true-to-style beers and experimental batches. This new partnered location will showcase all of the fruits of their labor as these two companies move forward with their biggest collaboration yet.
