Arches Brewing Announces Brewhouse Transition

Arches Brewing in Hapeville, Georgia has announced that its longtime head brewer Justin Ramirez is leaving the company to join Hopstix in Chamblee, Georgia. Full details are below.

ATLANTA, GA – After three years as Head Brewer, Justin Ramirez leaves behind a legacy of well crafted recipes and connections at Arches Brewing. Ramirez has a passion for the craft beer experience that comes from delving into creative recipes and making beer that is not only delicious but intentional. “Leaving Arches is definitely bittersweet. On one hand, I am leaving a program that I put so much of my personality into. On the other hand, I get to make an impact on a new program that will allow for more creative freedom and expanding possibilities.”

While Arches is going to miss having Ramirez in the Brewhouse regularly, this is certainly not the last time Arches Brewing will be brewing with Ramirez. Fans of Arches Brewing can find Justin Ramirez as the new Head Brewer at Hopstix in Chamblee, GA. Co-Founder Jeff Dake says, "Justin has been an integral part of Arches’ growth over the last few years.  We'll miss his creativity and energy, but are incredibly happy for the next phase of his career.  He's going to do great things at Hopstix, and we wish him all the best."

The Brewhouse team for Arches Brewing will move into the next chapter with Bradford Shoemaker, Jacob Causey and Andy Cobb all working alongside Co-Founder/Brewer Greg Mickle and Brewmaster, Jamey Adams. While here, Ramirez developed recipes that quickly became favorites like Low Viz IPA, Sprezzatura, Sirène, and Yūrei. Arches will continue to produce these beers for both the taproom and the Georgia market.

Arches Brewing looks ahead at a collaborative Brewhouse model focused on expanding our distribution efforts and maximizing the specialty experience within our taproom. Justin Ramirez built a successful model for Arches to continue to be Georgia’s favorite Lager Brewery.
