Arches Brewing Debuts 4th Year-Round Beer, Mexican Empire
Arches Brewing out of Hapeville, Georgia, famed for its focus on the oft-dismissed lager style, has announced the release of a new year-round beer.
Mexican Empire, a Vienna Lager-style beer, is set to debut from the brewery on June 21. The beer first debuted as a seasonal offering, but with demand for an easy-drinking sessionable on the rise in the sweltering Southern heat, the brewery decided to make it a year-round offering.

ATLANTA (June 18, 2018) – On the heels of their second anniversary, Hapeville-based craft lager brewery Arches Brewing announces today that it will release its fourth style, Mexican Empire, in six-pack cans. The Vienna lager, known for its light malty flavor profile is set to release at the brewery and in the Atlanta market on Thursday, June 28th. Once a seasonal beer for Arches, the demand for this clean, easy-to-drink 5.2% ABV style has outpaced production as Summer approaches. Mexican Empire will be the second year-round lager in the brewery’s packaged offerings, which includes the popular Unseasonal Lager, Southern Bel’ and Queen’s Weiss.
“This has been one of those beers that snuck up on us. As a team, it’s been one of our favorites and we always felt like it would be a really drinkable Spring seasonal. As more people tasted it, we kept getting asked to brew it more often and package it”, said Arches co-founder Ryan Fogelgren. “This style has a perfect balance of depth, flavor, and cleanliness. We’re excited to release it just before July 4th weekend and look forward to sharing it with beer lovers all over Georgia.”
