Back East Brewing in Bloomfield, Connecticut has announced the release of two limited-edition brews, including the return of a popular favorite from years past.
First up is the brewery's winter seasonal, Winterfest, which is brewed with cinnamon and local honey.
The returning favorite is Wakatu Pale Ale, which is brewed with the eponymous Wakatu hop varietal from New Zealand that provides flavors and aromas of lush lemon and lime.
The full release from the brewery is below.
On Thursday, November 8th we’ll be releasing 2 cans: Wakatu Pale Ale and our Winterfest Ale. We haven’t brewed Wakatu Pale Ale in several years, and we’re excited to bring it back with a completely changed malt bill. Wakatu is a New Zealand hop variety that showcases flavors of lemon & lime. This deep-orange, hazy beer has great aromas and flavors of citrus. Winterfest is a winter ale brewed with cinnamon and local honey from Hilltop Apiaries of Simsbury. We’ll have six-packs, growler fills, and pints available while they last. Both beers will be going out for distribution, but cans of Wakatu will only be available in our tap room.
On Friday, November 9th we’ll have live music from Collective Difference and the Curbside Chefs food truck will be here. If you haven’t planned your Friday night yet, stay and enjoy our Craft Comedy show starting at 8:30. Tickets are on sale for $15 in advance ($20 at the door, if not sold out). Click here for tickets.
This month’s charity Spotlight is Biker's Against Child Abuse. All month we will be donating $1 from every pint of Golden Ale sold in our tap room.
