Birdsong Brewing's Fake Plastic Trees Makes Seasonal Return

Birdsong Brewing's Fake Plastic Trees Makes Seasonal Return

Birdsong Brewing Co. in Charlotte, North Carolina has announced the seasonal of the brewery's popular Hoppy Wheat Beer Fake Plastic Trees, named after the terrific Radiohead song of the same name.

The beer will release from the brewery on Saturday, June 23, and it will be available on draft and in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans.

The full release from Birdsong is below.

We've got a great THURSty THURSday small batch for you this week, plus plenty of opportunities to do good while you're hanging out in the tap room. Tonight, we're hosting a Drink for a Cause donation night for the Allegro Foundation. This non-profit organization helps children with disabilities by offering medical, education, and physical assistance to enhance the quality of life for affected children and their families.  A portion of each in-house beer sold tonight will benefit the organization.

This week's THURSty THURSday, "Dillatude" IPA, isn't likely to be around very long because it's so dang good! Using a combination of Ekuanot, Cascade and El Dorado hops, this IPA has upfront citrus and tropical notes, and really highlights the use of El Dorado, which is noted for its fruit-forward characteristics. The result is a beer that is juicy, estery, and has just the right amount of bitterness.

Saturday is a day many of you have been waiting for, so fear not! Fake Plastic Trees is back! Find it on draft and in 4pk cans in the tap room this weekend. We'll have live music by Cullen West at 3pm and The Business People at 5pm for a jammin' afternoon full of fun, food trucks, and fantastic people.

Don't forget Sunday brunch with Papi Queso! We're also hosting a fundraiser and silent auction for the REACT Thyroid Foundation, an organization very important to the Birdsong family. We'll have gift cards and passes to places like Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens and the Carolina Raptor Center, as well as local businesses like Central Coffee, Duckworth's and more! You can learn more about our involvement with REACT here or check out their website here.

Follow the Gold: We've all heard of the legend of El Dorado, but does anyone know where it is? Rumored to be somewhere in South America, the myth starts at Lake Guatavita back in the 1500s. Gold was supposedly thrown in the lake to appease the gods.

Like what you find at Birdsong? Let's go steady on social.
